We are AllsWell, and we hope you are, too!

A band, a songwriters collective, a dinner club; AllsWell is many things.  For over a decade this group has been taking shape in the misty woods of a small Peninsular town a ferry ride away from Seattle.  The bond holding it all together was strongly forged in the overlapping emotional fires of a global pandemic, & the increasing fraught politics of our time.  Through music Allswell has been expressing joy, grief, humor, & love, in between notable breaks for cooking & snacking. The desire to bring the music & the feels to the broader community led to the creation of the AllsWell Holiday Show, a Varieté which has become an anticipated local tradition.  AllsWell is for the people!

At the heart is, of course, the music.  Original songwriting is a shared passion amongst the group; democracy reigns, & structure is imposed quite organically, which is a very pleasant experience for a group of musicians.  It's kind of like stumbling across someone who speaks your language in a far off land.  Or the Spiderman-pointing-at-himself meme.  With five people bringing their collective tastes & experiences to each song, the genres naturally blend like watercolor.  Folky, sure; driving at times, theatrical, danceable, & groovy usually.  There is a bluegrass-adjacent song inspired by a science fiction novel, a second-line beat with an accordion solo, instruments are often swapped, three part harmonies reign, & I don't know, a Mariah Carey cover?  Irreverent silliness is intermixed with genuine poignancy, & a good time is had by all.
